Where Vintage cars are welcome

A paradise for vintage cars! More than a hundred years ago the Bodensee region was the heart of the German car industry. Within a radius of 93 miles, several famous car manufacturers resided here and developed pioneering technologies for the automobile.

Today, this authentic ambience is pursued by the initiative of the City Marketing Constance, an open vintage car network of enterprises, associations, enthusiasts, private collectors, restorers, museums, hotel and catering trade companies as well as craftsmen. Their common purpose is to offer vintage car enthusiasts all over the Bodensee region - locals and guests equally - a common platform to cooperate, exchange information and to help one another maintain and enjoy driving these classic automobiles.

Vintage car clubs from all over Europe can rely on the experience of the City Marketing Constance to make hotel reservations, prepare an attractive route or to organize an exciting accompanying program. Many vintage car clubs and vintage car rallies have used this offer, such as the historical rally “Lüttich-Rom-Lüttich”, the “Vino Miglia”, the “2000 km through Germany” and the “Württembergische Classic”. These clubs were enthusiastic about the hospitality and professionalism of the vintage car enthusiasts at Lake Constance and the preparation by City Marketing Constance.

There are more than a dozen museums all around Lake Constance that present this fascination of the old automobile technology. A few highlights are the Rolls Royce museum situated at the Austrian Dornbirn, the Zeppelin museum and the new Dornier museum in Friedrichshafen.

While enjoying the historical automobile background, the scenic Oldtimerland Bodensee will provide many other opportunities to see and enjoy this beautiful region.
